Jacket GOOD, clipped flap, possibly by printer, rubbed spot on upper front where price label had been removed, moderate edge rubbing, chipping, bumping, soiling. Board covers VG, minor rubbing & fading. Inner pages GOOD to VG. Personal presentation inscription dated Christmas 1939 from son to father, and tiny bookstore label in Oxford, England, in lower corner of same inside front cover. It appears the first blank end page was removed by clean cutting it out. Soiling to page edges. Did not find any markings, pages flat, bright, clear, and free of tears or holes. Tightly bound.
