SYNOPSIS: This comes from a lot of brochures and correspondence of a girl who went on her high school Senior Class Trip through the southern states from Paris, Missouri, in 1954. She collected many items and wrote several letters home to her parents.
This is a very interesting mixed lot of correspondence, blank stationery, newspaper clipping about the Senior Class trip in the Paris, Missouri newspaper, and a small bag from "Natchez Super Drugs", a Walgreen agency store in Natchez, Mississippi. Not sure how that got into the lot because Walgreen was not around in 1954, but including it with the lot anyway. Very small 4 X 7 flat bag in excellent condition.
The "Hotel Vicksburg" envelope and stationery were unused.
A letter home written on the Hotel Heidelberg stationery in Jackson, Mississippi was postmarked March 28, 1954.
A letter home written on the San Carlos Hotel stationery in Pensacola, Florida was postmarked March 29, 1954.
The newspaper clipping giving a detailed itinerary of the trip has the dates "March 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 1" written in pencil on the top. No indication which newspaper this was in, but the group described was from Paris,Missouri. A VERY detailed description of the whole trip, which means it must have been written by someone who actually was on that trip. Sounds like a fun trip! The weight shown will allow us to purchase First Class shipping since this would not qualify for USPS Media rate.
See Grading Scale page for explanation of grades. Photos of any obvious condition issues will be provided.
