SYNOPSIS:  This lot of  3 Metropolitan Museum of Art Miniatures books are essentially sticker books that allow patrons to collect their own miniature versions of essential works from the museum's collection. They have all had the stamps inserted. Each stamp varies slightly, but the general size is 3-3/4" x 4-3/4". The 3 included in this group are as follow:

Masterpieces in the Philadelphia Museum of Art - Album L P - 1952
Self Portraits  - Album M S - 1954
Children in Art - Album L E - 1953

Publisher: Book of the Month Clubs, Inc., New York.

Format: Soft covers. NOT EX LIB.

Condition: Covers have some bumping and soiling. The "Children" album has the worst soiling as pictured. "Philadelphia" album has lower right front corner torn away. Inner pages are in Very Good Condition, looks as if each album is complete with the requisite stickers, no blank spots where a sticker is missing. No markings, tears, or flaws to inner pages. Tightly bound. Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.

BONUS: Found tucked inside one album was a lot of items which apparently were collected on a trip to England! A brochure entitled "E. Fox's Penny Guide to Stratford-on-Avon with the Plan of the Town Showing Chief Places of Interest." is 24 pages plus a section of very English ads for businesses in the back. Also is a small 1-page brochure featuring Shakespeare's birthplace with the admonition at top "The Committee request that no Gratuities be offered to the Attendants." Finally, two receipts: one for admission to The Carlyle's House Memorial Trust in the sum of Sixpence, the second a receipt showing admission for 2 to the British Museum Reading Room dated Sept. 8 1902. I'm not sure how this date figures in with all the other items, but all items will be included with the lot.
