SYNOPSIS: 1833 2-volumes, leather bound, complete title: "The Protestant. Essays on the Principal Point of Controversy between the church of Rome and the Reformed." Second American From the Ninth Glasgow Edition. Volumes 1 and 2. By William M'Gavin, Esq.
Publisher: Hartford-Hutchison and Dwier, 1833.
Format: Leather.
Condition: POOR. A "collectible" set only, too fragile to use for reading, although all pages appear to be intact, totally legible, and remarkably, mostly bound. Front cover of Vol. 1 is loose, barely still bound at top edge. Frontispiece illustration (Spanish Inquisition) on Vol. 2 loose and laid-in Would recommend handling both volumes with much care. Hopefully the numerous pics will reveal condition due to age. These have been in a minister's library for a few decades "on display," but before that, not sure where they came from. Illustrated. Proceeds to be donated to other ministries.
See Grading Scale page for explanation of grades. Photos of any obvious condition issues will be provided.
