SYNOPSIS: Two pages from the June 14, 1930, The Saturday Evening Post magazine, making this a total of four pages. One page is a color full-page ad for the Oakland Eight car, Body by Fisher, featuring a gorgeous drawing of an elegant lady dressed in a large orange hat. The back of that page is a full-page article by David Lawrence entitled "American Business and Business Men" with a photo of Owen B. Young. The opposite page is the continuation of the text on the Oakland Eight ad which ended "Fisher Stylists," this page continues with..."have imparted a refreshing grace..." And a big font price shown: $1025 and Up. Finally, the back of that third page is a full-page ad for "Oldsmobile Six Viking Eight" with a drawing captioned "The Schoolroom Comes to the Workshop" and is pictured here.

Format: Color ads on p.1 and 4, black and white on p. 2 and 3, all printed on paper. No dust jacket. NOT an EX LIB. Measures 11" X 14" with the staple (a bit rusty) still through the corner that was there when we purchased this.
Condition: In Good condition. An unevenly trimmed edge along the right side of the Oakland Eight page. Has been stored inside a plastic sleeve with cardboard backing since purchased at an estate sale in the early 1990s. |
