SYNOPSIS:  284 pages. Story of a Canadian family in 1905. Father is Dean of Kingsford Cathedral in Nova Scotia; Mother is a variable factor; the five children have their own problems. Philip, the younger son, falls in love with the daughter of a French family, and after his father's death is free to marry her. The rest of the clan move to the States to build a new sort of life.

Condition: Jacket in Fair Condition, heavy rubbing, soiling, bumping, edge chips and a blank white round label is affixed to spine. Unclipped flaps. Volume in Very Good condition. Black cloth boards with white lettering on spine. Red upper page edges. Only signs of wear to covers is minor soiling to page edges. Inner pages Very Good. Minor age yellowing / tanning to pages and end papers. Otherwise, flat, bright, clear with no markings, tears, or flaws. Tightly bound.
