SYNOPSIS:  1,082 pages. In six weeks in June and July 1940 France was overcome by Germany. Written by an American correspondent who followed the German troops into France. Shirer also wrote The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

Format: Hardback with dust jacket. NOT an EX LIB.

Condition: Jacket in Acceptable condition with soiling, edge bumping, and tears at lower back edge. Unclipped flaps with original $12.50 retail showing. Front flap has a vertical crease mark along entire edge. Volume in Very Good condition. Blue cloth boards with red title box and gold foil lettering on both front and spine cover. Red upper page edges. Boards have very minor bumping to corners, some minor soiling
to page edges. Front red end pages have some specks of crayons stuck to paper, and "USR" written in black crayon. No other markings, tears, or flaws to inner pages. Tightly bound. Photos illustrate condition of overall volume. VERY HEAVY.
