SYNOPSIS:  205 pages. "Hymn Lore" gives the stories behind some of Christianity's favorite hymns. It tells about the author, history, origin, or other information that adds meaning and emotional appeal to the hymn. Included are photographs, musical score for each hymn, and an index of authors.

Format: Hardback. No dust jacket. NOT an EX LIB.

Condition: Volume in Very Good condition. Navy cloth boards with gold foil lettering and decorative graphic on front board. Boards have minor soiling, bumping to corners and edges. Inner pages yellowed with age. A lovely presentation inscription written on inside front flyleaf dated Christmas 1933 from "Your Friend and Rector" to the apparent organist and choir master of St. Peter's Church in Germantown. No other markings, tears, or flaws. Tightly bound. Music in Round Note format. Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.
