SYNOPSIS:  346 pages. An historical novel about the last Empress of China, Tzu Hsi, Empress from the 1860s to 1908, born to the house of Manchu, which was the ruling dynasty at the time. Format: Hardback with dust jacket. NOT an EX LIB.

Condition: Jacket in Acceptable condiition with soiling and heavy edge chipping/tearing, mostly along the front flap fold where vertical tears are at both upper and lower edges. Flaps unclipped. Volume in Very Good condition. Orange cloth boards with black graphic and lettering on spine. Upper page edges dyed green. Boards have very minor signs of wear. Owner's name written on inside front flyleaf, some tanning and slight bubbling from binder's glue at inside covers. Inner pages clear, bright, and free of any markings, tears, or flaws. Tightly bound.
