SYNOPSIS:  252 pages.

Publisher: G. Schirmer, Inc., New York. 1912 Copyright date.

Format: Hardback. No dust jacket. NOT an Ex Lib.

Condition: This is a very unique item! It is the entire Handel's "The Messiah" bound inside gray hardback board covers with gold foil lettering on front and spine, and contains notes from the original owner regarding her part in the performance ("breathe here" etc). It does need some repair work, but all the pages are still included! The repair needed is because the binding has come loose under the spine at page iv, the next page (v / vi) is loose and laid-in, then all following pages still bound together. Needs cleaning and regluing under spine cover, as you can see. I think this may have occurred due to what the previous owner did by pasting-in several items inside the front cover about the specific performers and performances. I have included pics of those, but blurred the owner's name in the pics to protect identity, name, address, and phone number. Those who live in the Jefferson City, MO area will recognize the name of one of the performers, David Gillespie, as the man who was a director of the Jefferson City chorale for many years. A couple of brochures about the 1995 performance found inside the volume will be included. Music is round note.
Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.

See Grading Scale page for explanation of grades. Photos of any obvious condition issues will be provided.
