SYNOPSIS:  322 pages.

Publisher: The John C. Winston Company

Format: Hardback. No dust jacket. NOT an EX LIB. Only date provided is 1937 copyright.

Condition: Volume in Poor to Acceptable condition. Green cloth boards with orange and black graphic and lettering. Boards moderate soiling, bumping to corners and edges, spine cover tanned. Inner pages are very worn. Owner's name and date " '40" written on title page. Pages somewhat yellowed with age, but since it was used as a child's textbook, there are checkmarks on pages (probably from a teacher), occasional marking / annotation, some tears (with no text missing), soiling, and the attempt to hold the binding together in three spots in the binding with cellophane tape, which appears throughout the volume where the tape runs. It worked, but the tape has darkened and tends to want to cause the pages to stick together. I have unstuck the pages, to make sure no text was obliterated (it wasn't), but just know that this is a good reading copy only, not in a condition to be considered collectible. EXCEPT for the exquisite illustrations! Those could definitely be color copied and framed for hanging! Though it is in worn condition, it is quite scarce.
Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.

See Grading Scale page for explanation of grades. Photos of any obvious condition issues will be provided.
