SYNOPSIS: Protestant 1922 calendar published in German. This is more like a book than a calendar as we know it. On the front cover, a picture of Jesus telling his disciples, "Ich will euch zu enschen fischern machen. Lukas 5" (I will make you fishers of men). The center section of the book at the end of the calendar is published in English, and is entitled "Clerical Register" and contains a comprehensive, alphabetical "list of names and addresses of Evangelical pastors in the United States and Canada. Corrected to September 1, 1921." Next is a "Teachers' Register, in the same format as above; next a list of "Evangelical Deaconesses" in alphabetical order by CITY; then "Widows of Evangelical Pastors"; a "Church Register" listing a "List of congregations served by pastors of the German Evangelical Synod of North America" in alphabetical order by district; then "Location of Churches in Cities of 10,000 Inhabitants or Over." At tne end of this portion of the book printed in English, a list of publications in both German, and English, which could be ordered for use in the churches. The very last section of the book (pages 115 through 127) are wonderful advertisements for all things of interest to churches, from bells, to stained glass, to coffee roasters, to pews, and various institutions such as schools and hospitals. This is a wonderful resource for historical or geneological research.

Condition: Good+. Tightly bound. Pages very yellowed with age. Moderate soiling, creasing, and and edge chipping of cover. A few small page turndowns in first few pages. Lovely old book in remarkably good condition. Photos illustrate condition.
